Seminar at Open Sky Aikikai - Jan 16

So 6 of us from the dojo took a trip up to Open Sky Aikikai to support their seminar with Hal Lehrman, 7th Dan, Shihan and Claire Keller, 5th Dan, Shidoin. As usual, the instruction was top notch and a lot of fun. Keller Sensei focused on the basics while Lehrman Sensei really focused on body position and explained his goal of becoming a large Sphere when disabling ukes attack. Both Instructors are regular teachers at NY Aikikai and are extremely knowledgable, talented and ego-less. I got to spend some time with them off of the mat at lunch and they are just plain nice people, and with great senses of humor.
