First want to thank Sensei's Blue Spruell and George Kennedy for putting together an action packed seminar. I know they are both proud of being able to set aside any differences they made have had in the past with politics or egos and work together to build a great working relationship for the Atlanta Aikido community. More communities should follow their example.
Second: To both Spruell and Kennedy Sensei’s, thank you for the initiative on collecting donations for the Japan Relief Fund. Here is another fine example of working together and stepping up to help the devastation in the country of our Aikido heritage.
Important Third: Congratulations to Jim Hyde on achieving Shodan this Saturday. I am a proud Sensei. Great looking test!
And Important Fourth: Thank you to every Aikido of Charlotte member who have donated your nage time to be uke in preparation for Jim’s test. A special thank you goes out to Toshie for taking ukemi for Jim’s test and to Jonathan for grooming him for the test. Everyone has demonstrated the ability to work together for the advancement of one of your own. Once again, you have made me a proud Sensei.
